I live now and dream of tomorrow.
SuperMom. Travel. Island life. Human Canvas. Mover & Volunteer. Digital Media PR.
A SuperMom who believes she has to take care of her happiness to share them with her son.
onlyvic started traveling around her home country at a very early age because of her Dad’s job. Everytime they were in the airport, while looking at what seem to be big planes, she would always wonder how her parents seem to know which plane to take to their destination. She was so worried about getting on the wrong plane that when she was 16 years old, her Mom let her took a plane by herself to know. Growing up in a nomadic family, to travel now on her own just comes out naturally.
As a young girl, she grew up in a house by the beach, learned how to swim at a very young age, played along the shore with her big brother and cousins that even if she has lived in big cities (Manila, Davao and Cebu), home is where she could listen to the music of waves splashing to her feet.
A human canvas – tattoos are her way to mark significant events of her life. She now has 5 tattoos (more coming): her monicker onlyvic, a dreamcatcher, a flower to remember the people she met while volunteering in places affected by the typhoon Haiyan, words in her favorite language that tells about her moving on from a failed relationship with the waves and the sun and the om symbol for her spiritual journey.
An active volunteer for various causes since after the typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda) hit most parts of Visayas last November 2013. One of the things she has learned after Haiyan and being able to volunteer with different organizations and individuals is the importance of collaboration.
