Hello, Bohol!

Finally, after years of planning and waiting for me to visit Bohol, the time has arrived. I have been very active and visible in Instagram since April 2012. I have joined our local Igers group, IgersCebu Team and have been friends with the people behind it. One member was coming home here in the Philippines for a vacation since she’s already based in the U.S now.

We have stayed in Bohol just for a night. But I am very happy to have finally seen Alona beach myself. Here are some photos from our very short visit.

Since it’s an off-peak season, we had a discount in taking the OceanJet fastcraft. But we booked 2 days before our trip so we had to stay in the open air accommodation which was only P420/person one way. The return trip came for free as a discount! The trip took only took almost 2 hours.

We rented a van for P1200 roundtrip from the pier to the resort and back to the pier from the resort the next day. The rate was just a little cheaper than the resort though.

We were all hungry from the trip that as soon as we had our stuff inside our rooms, we went down to grab some good food. Above is the menu of the place where we stayed – Lost Horizon Resort.

A local vendor by the beach selling accessories made from sea shells which prices range from P20-50, good enough.

There are also massage services by the sea shore for P250/hr.

The view from our rooms. Our room had a balcony. The room was nice and clean. It has a hot and cold shower, a flat screen television, 2 single beds, ceiling fan and an airconditioner. This room only cost P2,156/night during off peak season. I share my room with my son and his nanny and another member from the IgersCebu Team

The restuarant/bar of the resort at night where we stayed. Lost Horizon Resort had Happy Hour from 11AM-10PM with San Mig Light for only P30/bottle and P25/bottle for their Pilsen beer.

Right outside of Lost Horizon at night. It’s like a night bazaar along the road by the beach.

The view outside our room which was located on the 2nd floor and the first room to the left from the staircase.

Me and my son outside our balcony the day after we arrived in Bohol.
